Job Description

The Manager – Biddable Media & Performance Marketing owns strategic planning and campaign execution for Bob’s programmatic efforts – inclusive of CTV, Display, Native and Social and will understand the more holistic view on marketing performance. This position is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the Manager to help generate strategic insights for the various in-market campaigns. This position will interface with the Media Agency of Record, building in the BDF requirements and audience pools, while providing expertise in optimization strategies and guidance on best practices and measurement protocols.

The ideal candidate will have prior online programmatic trafficking and campaign management experience in DV360, MediaMath, AppNexus or other relevant Demand Side Platforms. He/She should be proficient in creating measurable outcomes and optimization processes that reside in house, as well as knowledge in and around a CDP and audience building. They should also be a leader in thinking through an efficient way to build an internal biddable/performance marketing capability that scales with our business. In addition to this the ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, expertise in Microsoft Excel/Power Point and understand how to run an active campaign optimization. The Manager will also need to demonstrate an ability to create tactical plans that align with Bobs overall strategic plans and in market goals, and be able to support and present those plans to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate digital strategies and rationale for tactical campaign approach inclusive of measurement/optimization protocols
  • Execute, manage and optimize online biddable media campaigns and programs (i.e. - paid search and social, auction/exchange based performance media, audience based buying, remarketing campaigns affiliate) while meeting or surpassing brand performance expectations
  • Develop, grow, and maintain relationships through great transparency and a drive to partner on results
  • Formulate proposals for new opportunities & manage/work with agency/vendor resources to execute
  • Steward the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation – must be detail oriented and thrive on creating order from chaos, building the in house practice from scratch
  • Partner with Research & FP&A team on campaign measurement reporting and insights generation
  • Lead a daily/weekly meeting on performance, utilizing insights to make recommendations on campaign optimizations and new opportunities
  • Work with media partners to ensure accurate platform implementation/measurement
  • Troubleshoot issues on all pre-production and live campaigns
  • Develop & implement campaign QA process and AB testing protocols
  • Understand how to effectively A/B test, scaling successes and eliminating things that don’t work
  • Manage monthly budget and spend reporting for Biddable media & performance
  • Lead and assist in coaching, managing, and educating small team to show tangible value of the effort
  • Participate & lead design of regular knowledge share sessions to share and new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have 3+ years of hands on experience on a holistic role that manages real time campaign performance utilizing tools such as DV360, The TradeDesk, Appnexus, MediaMath, Beeswax or other
  • Must have experience in translating programmatic tactical recommendations into more holistic digital media plans
  • Experience working with media agency and has the ability to identify risks and effectively manage through issues
  • Previous leadership in Microsoft Office solutions, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, especially as it pertains to translating insights and performance into campaign recap PowerPoint decks.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Must be a self-starter, driven by the work and the opportunity to grow with the company
