HRIS Specialist- Temp to Perm


The HRIS Specialist is a key resource in our execution of the Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits, Compensation, and Training processes that are executed through Workday, Bob’s Human Resources system. The HRIS Specialist will be the first point of contact for HRIS execution, issue resolution, end user guidance, and execution of ongoing processes and reporting.


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end users and business partners assistance with inquiries and troubleshooting of errors or issues
  • Validate that processes are being executed as expected (proper outcomes, timely execution, etc.)
  • Update, validate, and correct employee records or business processes to ensure proper and timely outcomes
  • Generate and execute basic reports or queries and provide summaries of data for use in analysis or decision making
  • Support of strategic HRIS initiatives in the form of business process testing, end user documentation, and roll-out communication/issue resolution

Required Qualifications

  • Two years of HRIS, payroll, or systems experience involving process execution, data management, issue resolution, and end-user customer service
  • Strong service orientation and accountability to problem resolution and end user support
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to audit data and recognize data issues and inconsistencies
  • Ability to research, test, and propose solutions and recommendations in service of the execution
  • of basic Workday business processes
  • Strong process orientation. Ability to understand execution steps and related dependencies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency and acumen with Microsoft Excel
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated judgement and discretion in managing confidential data and processes
  • The HRIS Specialist is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Overtime work may be required in certain situations but should not be expected as the norm. Regular, predictable attendance is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct Experience as a user and/or admin of the Workday system
  • Bachelor Degree in  IT/Systems, Finance, or Human Resources

Supervisory Responsibility

  • The HRIS Specialist is an individual contributor and does not have any direct reports

Work Environment

  • Position resides at Bobs’ Headquarters in Manchester, CT.
  • High level of collaboration with various business partners within and outside of the Bobs’ HR Department. 
  • Ongoing phone, email and report monitoring communication with business partners. 

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and operate a computer and telephone

Expected Hours of Work and Travel

  • The HRIS Specialist is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Overtime work may be required in certain situations but should not be expected as the norm. Regular, predictable attendance is required.
