Job Description

Facilities Business Analyst  

This position reports to the Director of Facilities with additional direction from the Facilities Property Managers. This person is responsible to manage national contracts, summary invoicing, run department RFP’s and support the strategic initiatives of the department. This position will help define, document and catalog facilities policies and procedures.  


  • Research opportunities identified by business head, evaluate saving opportunities, prioritize opportunities to maximize savings
  • Manage facilities national contracts and agreements
  • Manage and budget energy spend and oversee energy purchases in deregulated markets using energy broker
  • Run facilities RFP’s, negotiate pricing and standardize agreement language when possible
  • Review and update company policies and procedures for facilities related functions
  • Coordinate with Real Estate, LP, Finance, Purchasing, Store Ops and Regional Management to ensure facilities contract goals align with business partners
  • Create information database and archive RFP, vendor and project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking savings; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; identifying trends; recommending actions
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Help budget and reforecast as savings are realized
  • Coordinate with Facilities Property Managers to project capital expenditures and project schedule are aligned
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
  • Review a variety of areas including operations, purchasing, inventory, distribution and facilities
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

  • Analytical data experience
  • Process improvement experience
  • This position will manage national vendors, coordinate with Facilities Property Managers and requires coordination with stores, DC’s and field operations
  • This position is a Monday – Friday home office position with some on call nights and weekends
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Word,  Excel and Project
  • Ability to impact operations and affect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Work within the chain of command

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience preferred
  • Service Channel experience preferred
