Job Description

The DC Operations Analyst is responsible for real time analysis and assisting with the coordination of all Distribution Center Operations.  This role assists in reporting, researching, and resolving systemic/inventory issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner. This role contributes to the development of enhanced communications between departments/sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for real time analysis, correction and balancing of all DC Operations within EWM program
  • Develops SharePoint site for the various departments of the warehouse
  • Provides administrative support for all DC/Delivery Operations
  • Generates and tracks All User Access Requests for DC/Delivery
  • Generates and tracks New/Repair Equipment Requests for the DC
  • Monitor Inbound/Outbound RF Gun Logistics
  • Local Systems Maintenance (Workstations, Printers, Label Printers, etc)
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all Distribution technology
  • Analyzes DC Operations with outside knowledge of Delivery, Depot, Customer Care and Inventory processes
  • Participates in inter-departmental process discussions, documents organized ideas and presents them to the team
  • Supports all DC Departmental Managers as needed
  • Collaborates and communicates with the SVP Distribution Op’s/Logistics as well as the Director of Delivery Operations to effectively support all DC departments
  • Communicates via e-mail, conference call, or Go Live Meeting with Departmental Managers, Dock personnel, Store Managers, Store Operations, Customer Care, Loss Prevention,  and MIS regarding delivery and/or systemic issues
  • Performs additional duties as requested
  • Decision Making Responsibilities:
    • All final decision making responsibilities are retained by the Department Manager after the development and presentation of viable options. Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with some opportunity for un-reviewed decision making during developmental projects and process administration
  • Financial Responsibilities:
    • This position may review and make changes to customer accounts within standard policy and procedure without direct supervision
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities; May provide routine information and support to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse atmosphere
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Strong product/value recognition
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced  knowledge of most Windows Applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, InfoPath, Access, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of WMS Systems including SAP
  • Working knowledge of DC internal operations including Shipping, Receiving, Returns, Inventory Control, Delivery, Customer Care, Loss Prevention, and Information Management System
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose systemic and transactional trends and patterns
