Job Description

Bob’s is seeking a highly motivated Senior Payroll Analyst to join the team. This role will be an intergral member of the payroll team and will be responsible for the administration of accurate and timely delivery of commissions for our employees.  As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will support the payroll department, be a resource to employees as well as to the business operations. This role can provide an understanding of our compensation programs and help drive and identify process improvements, which will help with future career growth. 

 Job Responsibilities

  • Process companywide commission payments to all employees in an accurate and timely manner

  • Work with the team to provide excellent customer service to our employees and business partners including resolving commission and payroll related inquires

  • Build and maintain employee confidence and trust by promptly responding to requests and protecting the confidentiality of payroll operations

  • Reconcile various payroll and commission related accounts

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with the Accounting and Finance teams to ensure access to accurate payroll data for month-end close and other ad hoc financial reports

  • Participate in the preparation of reports, financial analysis, and development/maintenance of other programs to include payroll, staffing, scheduling, commissions, bonus, etc

  • Serve as backup for the Payroll Manager and providing more bandwidth to the overall payroll department

  • Identify enhancement opportunities within existing processes, lead change process when required

  • Participate in different payroll projects and other initiatives as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll processing (commissions a plus)

  • Experience with accounting processes and month-end close including reconciliations as it relates to payroll

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in working with different systems to retrieve and analyze data

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to make payroll system enhancements or resolve payroll issues

  • Attention to details and the ability to professionally interact with all levels of staff

  • Ability to work with massive amounts of data and summarize and convey findings

  • Demonstrate high level of intellectual curiosity that translates into new approaches to business issues

  • Thrive in a high performance, fast‐paced, entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Workday

  • Knowledge of SAP (Vistex and BOBJ a plus)
