Job Description

This role is responsible for keeping all Return’s locations’ inventory accurate on a daily basis. The Returns Specialist is accountable for STO processing and discrepancy report review and reconcilement, and records, researches and resolves open delivery documents and returns issues in cooperation with Returns Department for close-out of delivery dates.  This role maintains an open flow of communication between Delivery Managers, Depots, Customer Care, and Returns, supporting a cooperative Management Team to address and resolve interdepartmental issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete EOD processes as assigned by the Returns leadership team
  • Help process and do any adjustments for in-house home delivery returns
  • Log and review store/accounting requests to PGI/PGR documentation
  • Provide back-up assistance to the returns clerk for mystery and mis-id discrepancies
  • Sustain working knowledge of all procedures and policies for system interface and customer account management
  • Provide regular feedback to Return’s Supervisor
  • Perform daily review on all returns locations and cycle count as needed
  • Provide support for administrative/clerical functions as needed
  • Decision Making Responsibilities:
    • All decision making responsibilities are under the direct supervision of the Return’s Supervisor. Work is performed within standard practices with limited opportunity for un-reviewed decision making
  • Financial Responsibilities:
    • This position will affect customer accounts.  Review and changes to a customer’s account may be determined by the Coordinator and must conform to guidelines approved by Return’s Supervisor
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, however, may provide routine information and support to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse atmosphere
  • Some Excel experience preferred
  • Types 35-40 words per minute
  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of Windows Applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trends and patterns in inventory transactional data
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
