Job Description

The Compensation Analyst will be a key player in our growing compensation function at Bob’s. In partnership with the Compensation team, this role has the opportunity to help support and drive our vision for the overall compensation structure and philosophy for our company. This role will help support the development and administration of overall pay and incentives to fuel the company’s dynamic growth, through helping to define and build a sustainable structure that supports our total rewards philosophy. This role will be based out of our Home Office in Manchester, CT, but due to current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, this role will be temporarily remote.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partners closely with members of the compensation team to help build a sustainable foundation for a rapidly growing company, including developing a strategic compensation philosophy, building strong job families and career progressions and establishing defined compensation policies and practices.

  • This role will play a large role in helping to document current compensation practices across all business groups, including enterprise-wide programs, as well as individual business incentive plans.

  • Assists with various projects and responsibilities in support of the business, including modeling, execution and management of competitive pay programs, benchmarking of roles and recommendation and management of hourly hire rates.

  • Performs regular compensation analysis across business functions, including Pay Equity and External Market Competitive Analyses to identify potential areas of opportunity for the business.

  • Provides support and administration of the Executive Stock Option Program, including management and documentation of outstanding grants, production of related correspondence upon hire and/or termination of employees, and annual reporting.

  • Performs annual calibration of compensation for existing roles and adjustments to overall pay grade structures as necessary.

  • Supports the execution of the annual Merit Performance Appraisal process including but not limited to reporting, timeline development and management and training material preparation.

  • Participates in salary surveys that provide the necessary business intelligence to ensure competitiveness and appropriate investments in talent.

  • Knowledge of and ability to understand, interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, rules, ordinances, and regulations related to compensation administration, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

  • Closely monitors state minimum wage guidance and ensures proactive changes as needed.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Compensation experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and analysis

  • Solid understanding of FLSA rules and Wage and Hour laws required

  • General knowledge and understanding of SOX best practices and requirements as they relate to compensation programs preferred

  • Experience submitting and analyzing survey submissions, as well as utilizing survey management and compensation pricing tools (ex. PayFactors, MarketPay, etc.) preferred

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Holds him/herself accountable, and takes pride and ownership in his/her work

  • Display creative problem solving abilities

  • Exhibits eye for process improvement

  • Ability to think like an owner, balancing employee and company interests
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field

  • Experience utilizing and building Workday compensation functionality

  • Experience in transitioning a compensation function from private to public through IPO
